Retail Employee
Fenix, Rotterdam | 32 hours per week | starting date: half of February
Are you service-oriented, highly organised, and energised by a store that's meticulously meticulous? Do you enjoy guiding colleagues, maintaining an overview, and contributing to a welcoming and inspiring visitor experience? Then Fenix might be your next stop!
About Fenix
Fenix is Rotterdam's new art museum dedicated to migration. Artists, photographers, chefs, and other creatives tell stories that transcend borders. About love and farewell, coming home and feeling at home, identity and the search for happiness. At this historic place of departure and arrival, where millions of Europeans once departed and people from all over the world arrived, we demonstrate that migration is timeless and always personal.
About the role
Fenix has a central museum shop and a kiosk on Plein. Together, they form a key part of the overall visitor experience. As a retail employee, you'll play a key role in this. You'll be the right hand of the concept and retail manager and the first point of contact for the hosts working in the shop. You'll effortlessly switch between daily operations, inventory management, administration, and guiding colleagues. In this role, you'll have an eye for how presentation, storytelling, and service intertwine, and how they contribute to a pleasant and inviting shopping experience.
You'll be a visible presence on the shop floor, take initiative, and ensure that the shop and kiosk are well-maintained and align with the exhibitions and the Fenix story. You'll encourage colleagues to actively engage visitors in the story behind the products. In this role, you'll combine operational support with behind-the-scenes coordination. You'll contribute to a smoothly running store and a welcoming, inspiring experience for every visitor.
