About the book

Since 1994, photographer Ari Versluis and stylist Ellie Uyttenbroek have captured the fascinating tension between individuality and uniformity. In their signature grid, Exactitudes documents how people around the world dress alike, and what that says about belonging and identity.

With more than 200 series spanning three decades, this final edition is both a time capsule and an artwork. It shows how fashion and culture have always inspired each other.

The book is designed by Pieter Vos (75B) and published by nai010 publishers.

About Exactitudes

Started in Rotterdam, Exactitudes has grown into a global archive of over two thousand portraits. Together, Ari Versluis and Ellie Uyttenbroek have built a visual record of how we use style to fit in, stand out, and express who we are.
