Your workplace
Fenix is the new art museum about migration in Rotterdam. Artists, photographers, chefs, and other creatives tell stories that transcend borders. At this historic place of departure and arrival, where millions of Europeans once departed, and people from all over the world arrived, we demonstrate that migration is timeless and always personal.
In this museum where art, stories, and flavors converge, hospitality plays a key role. Fenix offers various concepts, each with its own unique story. For example, there's O Anatolian Café & Bakery, developed in collaboration with Michelin-starred chef Maksut Aşkar, which focuses on Anatolian cuisine and artisanal bread made from ancient grains. On the corner of the building, you can sample Italian gelato at Gelateria Granucci, prepared according to traditional family recipes. There's also an espresso bar with a view of the Maas River, and a "Keuken op Plein" (Kitchen on Square) where Rotterdam chefs and communities showcase global flavors.
In addition to these concepts, there's a staff restaurant for colleagues, and we provide catering for cultural and business events. This makes the hospitality experience at Fenix constantly evolving: diverse, welcoming, and full of stories.

Your position
As a Floor Manager at Fenix in Rotterdam, you're committed to ensuring every guest leaves feeling satisfied. You'll ensure everything runs smoothly, both for our guests and the team. With your attention to detail and leadership skills, you'll contribute to optimal service and a welcoming atmosphere. You'll also roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty on the floor.
You're the point of contact for both staff and guests, ensuring the team functions effectively by motivating, guiding, and supporting them where needed. You'll also monitor the quality of service and ensure that daily operational processes are carried out effectively. This includes directing staff, resolving any issues, and ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
