Plan your visit

Entry level

It doesn’t matter whether you’ve lived in the Netherlands for years or have only just arrived – everyone is welcome. You do need to speak a little Dutch. That means you know some basic words, understand simple sentences, and can have short conversations. Your Dutch should be at A1 level or higher.

About the partners

Bibliotheek Rotterdam

Every Wednesday, Bibliotheek Rotterdam hosts the Taalcafé at Plein. The activities are organised by Taalhuis Rotterdam. Adults can practise and improve their Dutch here, and ask questions about language learning opportunities in the city.

SOL

Every Thursday, SOL joins the Taalcafé at Plein. SOL stands for Samen Ondernemend Leren (Learning, Participating and Taking Initiative Together). This organisation works with local residents and is committed to learning, participation and community-driven initiatives. They focus on solutions and believe in learning by doing – together.
