During this charity dinner, the evening is all about sharing a meal and supporting the work of BuurtBuik. Your ticket includes a meal, and you can make an additional donation during the evening to support their work in Rotterdam.

On this evening at Plein, local residents and volunteers come together around one table. You’ll meet the people and hear the stories behind the organisation, and experience how sharing a meal can create space for connection and new friendships.
Exactly which vegetarian dishes will be served is still a surprise. BuurtBuik cooks with food donated by bakeries, supermarkets and markets in Rotterdam. What is available therefore partly determines the menu.

During the dinner, you’ll have the opportunity to donate to BuurtBuik. Your contribution helps organise free meals, keep existing locations running and open new locations in Rotterdam.
About the partner
BuurtBuik works to reduce food waste by turning surplus food into free meals for local residents, together with volunteers. Around the table, people have the opportunity to get to know each other, expand their networks, practise Dutch and sometimes build friendships that extend far beyond the meal.
In Rotterdam, the organisation works with, among others, Jordy’s Bakery Hoogvliet, Rotterdam food markets and Bakker Klootwijk.
