Popronde Rotterdam opens with Mahala on Plein (2026)
On Saturday 7 November, Mahala brings their own Eastern soothing groove to Plein with a free live performance. Come along and get carried away by their infectious rhythms and sound.
Mahala means ‘neighbourhood’, and that is exactly the feeling the band wants to create: a place where different backgrounds come together. The band members blend their Persian, Dutch and Romanian roots with influences from SWANA and Balkan music and Western fusion pop.
