This short film shows the early restoration of Fenix as it began its transformation into a museum, exploring the stories of those who contributed to this significant process. One such story is that of Edward, who worked at Fenix during the pandemic in 2020 as a concrete sand blaster, following in his father’s footsteps. As he works on the construction site, Edward feels his father’s memory all around him, especially since his father also worked in the harbour where Fenix is located.

I will go on till the very last centimetre of concrete is cleaned. Not just for me but for my dad.
