Together with the team, I am developing FENIX. This ranges from rebuilding the warehouse, making acquisitions for the collection and organizing the culinary programme to building the team. I look forward to welcoming you to FENIX in 2024!

I am looking for personal objects with a migration story. Do you have an object that relates to your family’s roots, or tells a story about a journey you have made? An object that symbolizes your new beginning, departure or adventure? I would really appreciate you sharing your story with me!

I am responsible for the collection and am working on a major photography exhibition that will be on display when the museum opens. I am always looking for photos – in archives, collections, newspapers or on Instagram. Would you like to know more about our collection or have you seen a wonderful photo somewhere? Send me a message!

I am delving into the history of people who left through the port of Rotterdam or arrived from all over the world. Suitcases are tangible objects that represent these stories. A suitcase is very personal – it carries everything you care about. I am building a maze full of suitcases and their stories. Will you help me to build it?

Before the opening in 2024, I want to make as many people as possible familiar with FENIX. Through social media, online, the newspapers, an event or collaboration, across the Netherlands, Rotterdam and the world. Do you have a rock-solid idea for a partnership, a great advertising proposal or a story to tell that fits in with FENIX? Get in touch with me!
