How is the rising sea level affecting our lives? Videos showing hurricanes and towering waves are regularly in the news. The power of the water is chasing people out of their homes, temporarily or permanently.
Artist Jason Hendrik Hansma spent three years searching online for videos of waves. He used the found footage to make a new video of waves pounding urban areas and swallowing up buildings with music created by Kelman Duran specially for the video.

Going beyond waves, the work also explores the collapse of borders, the slur, and the radical change of how we envision a 'here' and 'there' in the climate crisis. The work asks, who are you in the climate crisis?- Jason Hendrik Hansma
